Copyright photos : Olivier Zahm for Yasmine EslamiInterview:Yasmine Eslami:Lingerie is a funny thing because it is such a small object that unites lots of things, meaning that there are lots of fantasies surrounding it, so actually although it is only very small, it is also very important.Personally, I really like to design lingerie that is still quite light, that is supportive and technical but that retains its lightness and keeps the body alive.There is always tulle; I have my classic model called the ‘Tara’, which I do in a new colour every season and I like to keep mixing tulle with lace; for the new collection, I gave it a bit of a 70s vintage edge because the pieces are made in tulle but they are like flowers, like little daisies but in plain block colours.Of course, it is important to highlight lines and to accentuate them, like what Jeanne is wearing here with the ‘Serena’; the bands are there to emphasise and I took the idea from photos taken by Newton in which girls only had a black band covering their chest. In fact, we mixed the two by using feminine lines and light materials. I think it brings out in you a very confident sensuality, you are comfortable, you don’t need to play a role that is kinky or act like a pin-up girl.Music free: Bandit & Nikit-2012
