Alexis Mabille - Show Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2018/19 in Paris (with interview)

Designer: Alexis MabilleLocation: Salle PleyelCollection: a wardrobe of couture in which transparency and lightness come together playing with volume, asymmetry, gathered waists ... and contrasts between rigid and other fluid materials. A chromatic colour palette with fuchsia pink, saffron, green, baby blue or nude. The silk blouse is worn paired with a lace skirt. A couture version of a polo dress that is tied at the waist. The shoulders are important through bustier dresses. The stripes bring some freshness. Large ostrich feathers are put on the shoulders of a sheath dress, large flowers decorate a gown.Note: the bride in a lace jumpsuit and her large drapery skirt tied at the front.+ Plexi pumpswith interview of Alexis Mabille.A vision of an almost summery winter, but in fact there are no seasons in Haute Couture because today our clients buy dresses to go to parties or across the world to where it’s warm. And then I wanted to do it in fresh, light colours, mixing cream with black, with watercolours, there are also watercolour flowers on the dresses, a range of greens have their moment in the show, very intense with emerald greens, chartreuse, bronze etc… almond green… so it’s truly between colour and materials to create movement and effects on each girl. Either the outfit comes out from the body or it’s tight to it, but with wanting to have a very vast collection with different types of femininity.
