Designer: jean-paul gaultierinspiration: kinetics and illusion, with optical fur illusions and kaleidoscope games, with animal motifs and vasarely prints, which the designer had already used in previous collections. equally, jean-paul gaultier had fun recreating fur by using innovative and more original textures like feathers.collection: large enveloping coats and quilted jackets or jackets worn over loose corduroy trousers. the xxl collar is history, now ending in a point like hanging cones. the optical illusions and the multiplying dots are found on completed looks and tight jumpsuits with tricolour feathers.satin and chiffon sheath dresses, in vivid colours create volume through the use of double sleeves, drapes and pleats.to note: suit trousers with pleats on the front of a jacket, forming a sun.quilted boots, coordinated by colour with matching clothes.& christina aguilera in the front row as a guest-star.cape dresses, faux fur, kinetic - illusion, animal motifs, vasarely printsinterview :jean-paul gaultier : ultimately, it was quite a different story because, this time, i did a lot of quilting, i did fur coat pieces, which were not real fur... i went in that spirit with the optical illusions, that is to say that the prints resemble a fox, with different types of fur, and i did coats but they were a bit like michelin men therefore, they had the fox-like effect but it wasn’t a fox coat, it was just a fox-like effect.i also did hooded cape-coat pieces, which are a bit like tents, sometimes with transparent parts, and even an evening gown.there were even hat pieces that could make you think about fairies for a moment. show music (only use in the context of the show, covered by the right to information)
